For adult ageing, descriptive research design is the best method. In this research design the data are collected from various sources. The data are collected from hospitals, nongovernmental organizations and through survey.

Method of the research: Through survey a certain number of aged people are selected. Then on a prescribed format data are Collected from them. It includes age of the person, sex, former profession, present profession, family background etc. At the same time it should also be included in the data whether they have medical insurance, whether the family members care them or they are cared by the care givers, whether they have any psychological disease and so on.

Strength: In this research method a picture can be clear. Though all the information may not be perfect. But for preparing action plan this research can be helpful. In this research method a picture of the present condition of the aged people can be understood. At the same time it can be also understood what percentage of aged people are in bad condition and how many are in better condition. Such research also shows the causes of their problems.

Weakness: But in such research the perfect picture is not found. Again, in the presence of the family members the aged persons may not tell the truth. The documents are not collected. So, the validity of all the findings may not be accurate.
