Modern-day routing involves the use of routing tables for the transport of data from one point to other thus it is necessary for us to understand the routing tables,

The routing table is meant for forwarding the data packets forward to the next networks. Thus the router is usually connected to any number of networking devices including routers. Thus to know that where the router needs to send the information is decided based on the routing table. There are many different algorithms based on which this table is populated. Thus in an organization or across the internet routing table is the most important thing that will decide upon the routing of the packets efficiently. This efficiency of the transfer will depend upon the efficiency of the algorithm that is used for finding the routing table.

There are many routers manufacturers present in the market today, because of the high demand for the networking equipment there is much organization that has started working on the routers. The following are some of the routers manufacturers.

The various techniques that are in use for the routing table formation are.

  1. Static Routing, this is the type of routing that is used in the case of small networks, because we need to manually fill the details of every endpoint while populating the table. This static table will not change automatically until changed
  2. Dynamic Routing, this is the type of routing that is more used because we don't have to fill in all the information. It will automatically populate the table and will change based on the change in the network.

There are many security issues present in the routers such as zero-day flow is one of the bug that has caused the security issue. Thus as there could be a security problem in the router so one should buy the router from the organization that is fairly old and has experience in making the routers.
