Lewy body is a abnormal aggregate of protein called alpha synuclein, that develops inside the nerve cells, and therefore contribute to the development of Parkinson's disease or generally known as lewy body dementia. The deposition of these aggregates affects the chemicals in the brain and lead to the problems of thinking, mood changes and movement.
A lewy body is majorly made up of the protein alpha synuclein, which is associated with some other proteins like - ubiquitin, neurofilament protein, and alpha-B crystallin.
