Answer #1

Lupus is an autoimmune disease which leads to the destruction of own body healthy cells by acting upon them. In this skin, joints, blood cells, etc are affected.

SnRNP means the small nuclear ribonucleic protein, which consists of both the protein and the RNA as a complexed structure. It is involved in mRNA processing. In processing unuseful part is removed.

In lupus disease, there are formation of some antibodies like sm and RNP antibodies. Antigens of both the antibodies are present on the SnRNP, so the antibodies don't consider it as self body molecule. The antibodies act on the SnRNP. Thus these rna-protein complexes are destroyed.

In affects the mRNA processing. Thus lupus affects the self body cell's correct product formation of genes.
