One boy lifts 50 pounds of weights, and a second boy lifts 70 pounds of weights....

One boy lifts 50 pounds of weights, and a second boy lifts 70 pounds of weights. Someone says that the boy who lifts 70 pounds is more powerful. Why might this not be the case? Please explain.

We know that power = Work / Time. In terms of physics it does not mean that the boy who lift 70 pounds of weight is more powerful.

For example

Let us consider both raised weight up to a height of h. Then workdone = mgh.

The boy who lift more mass will do more work but suppose he takes more time to lift it up than the boy who lift smaller mass , then mathematically we can calculate power using given data and conclude that the boy who lift more weight has less power  and hence he is less powerful.
