While developing the infographic or visualization for a product or company, the product marketers need to maintain their focus and have their intent clear. It has been commonly observed that the marketers try to promote and market their products and services by playing with consumers’ psychological mindsets. The features and benefits of the products and services are over-exaggerated in the infographics, to an extent that the consumers may get a notion that their life is getting wasted if they are not buying and consuming that product. This exaggeration of features and benefits of products and services, forms the foundation of advertisement persuasiveness principles. Though advertisement persuasiveness is quite effective in aligning customers with the products and services, sometimes it may not work effectively. In such scenarios, the marketers try to promote their products and services through the aid of controversies. This is highly unethical . The standards of morality and ethics must be followed by marketers while developing the advertisements and promotional plans of the company. The marketers must make an effort, not to promote or capitalize on any kind of controversy, discriminatory notions, subliminal perceptions or derogatory perceptions.
