Once we had a conflict regarding using ethical means to conduct business operations. I was very adamant that we should be using ethical means and therefore, i used aggressive communication style to my manager who was not in the favor of using ethical means.

This resulted in a full-blown conflict and I ultimately left the company due to irreconcilable differences.

today, after knowing different communication styles, I feel I should have used the assertive style to make my point more clear and to ensure that the communication and the discussion remain amicable. It could have resulted in a mellowing down of my manager and both of us could have benefited from it.
