I have an RC DC circuit at t=0s. I know that the capacitor "does not exist" at this time instance because there is no charge on it yet and it does not impede any current. When t=0s the current will seek the path of least resistance. When the current has to choose between two resistors in parallel, will it choose the resistor with the lowest value? Or will it immediately split between the two resistors?

PHYS 2120 LAB 6 - RC Circuit Capstone For example, if we wait long enough, eventually what do you expect the voltage over the capacitor to become? Part 1: Design an RC-circuit to charge a capacitor as quickly as possible. Your circuit must include the following elements (and only these elements): A Switch, a 10V Battery, a 0.1 F Capacitor, a 250 resistor, a 500 resistor, two 7512 resistors, a 1000 resistor,...
I have two graphs for voltage across the capacitor in RC and CR circuit. I have two graphs for voltage across the resistance in RC and CR circuit. I have two graphs for voltage across the source n RC and CR circuit. Explain how the voltage across the capacitor is change with increasing frequency. Make sure to explain this relative to frequency dependent resistance – the impedance?
An RC circuit is connected across a DC voltage source through an open switch. The switch is closed at t = 0 s. Which of the following is a correct statement regarding the circuit? The capacitor charges to its maximum value in one time constant. The resistor and the capacitor share the applied voltage equally as a function of time. The current flows through the circuit even after the capacitor is fully charged. Once the capacitor is fully charged, there...

Part A Charging of RC Circuit 1) Construct a RC circuit (series) with a capacitor, a resistor, a battery, two switches, and appropriate meters that will enable you to make measurements of the parameters for charging up the capacitor. The placement of the switches allows you to measure both charging and discharging of the RC circuit. See diagram below: 2) Choose a combination of Rand C that will give you a time constant(T) of 20 seconds. T=R*C 20= 100* C=0.2F 3) Set the...
In a series resistance-capacitance DC circuit, the instantaneous charge Q on the capacitor as a... In a series resistance-capacitance DC circuit, the instantaneous charge Q on the capacitor as a function of time (where t=0 is the moment the circuit is energized by closing a switch) is given by the equation Q(t)=CV(1-e-t/(RC), where C, V, and R are constants. Further, the instantaneous charging current Ic is the rate of change of charge on the capacitor, or Ic=dQ/dt a. Find the...
5. [RC Circuits] Consider the circuit shown in Figure 5 attached. As shown, the switch is in position "A" for t < 0, and the circuit has been at rest for a long time. At time t = 0, the switch opens and the capacitor starts to drain across the resistor. (a) When the switch is closed and there is only a direct current (DC) source, the capacitor acts like an open circuit. Find the constant voltage across the capacitor...
