• Someone who is suffering from depression is most likely to lose interest in the activities which were previosuly of interest to them,stop going to work or college,lack of concentration,feeling fatigued everyday,social isolation from their family and friends,loss of appetiate,insomnia or too much sleeping,even suicidal attempts can happen.These are some of the signs one needs to look for if someone is susceptible of suffering from depression.
• People suffering from depression also indulge in drugs and alcohol abuse to deal with their sadness and avoid situations.They indulge in substance abuse to elevate their moods or just escape from guilt or despair.
• But substances like alcohol, which is a depressant, can actually increase feelings of sadness or fatigue in people,making depression severe. Conversely, people can experience depression as a withdrawal symptom of stop taking drugs or they struggle to cope with how the addiction has impacted their life.
