What are talus slopes and how do they form? And why are most talus slopes made of igneous and metamorphic rocks, but not of sedimentary rocks?

Talus slopes are the landform in which the rock debris rock fall accumulated in a concave up shape at the base of a mountain cliff, or volcano. when new debris accumulates over the older, its angle increases and corresponds to the angle of repose. as the angle increases the debris slide to the sides of the concave up shaped debris.

talus slopes are formed as a result of the physical and chemical weathering of rocks, igneous and metamorphic. these rocks are heavy and the weathering is slow than sedimentary rocks. so the rock pieces accumulate at the bottom rather than runoff in the water like sedimentary.
