From the book The Data Warehouse Lifecycle Toolkit, 2nd Edition
The authors separate architecture into two groups, "Back Room" and "Front Room".
In this discussion area, each student is to provide (3) posts discussing "Front Room" architecture system and characteristics. Your posts may be general, listing all front room topics or may focus on one specific topic's details.
It would not be wrong if we say that today's world is the World of Data. It's almost like Data is spread everywhere, Data forms could be different but it's importance and usability to the end users remains the same.
In the ETL process, there are basically three stages,
1. Extraction
2. Transfomation
3. Load
In the first stage, data is extracted form various sources like, Social media platform, Legacy systems data, Data from Marketing research and various other data. Data in the raw form is extracted from all the sources and gathered at one place which we call Back Room. This is in the form of Metadata.
In the Second stage this data is transformed into the readable format. The format which machine languages understand, the unique identifiers and keys are identified to segregate the data. Logically Data is transformed to readable format.
Third and final step is to load the data into the GUI format. Means the format which the end user could understand and utilize the Data for various purposes like Reporting, Forecasting, Budgeting, Auditing, Quality Control and Reliability etc. This is basically the Front Room from End User's perspective.
Hope this answer helps.

At other times, the merger is unpredictable, like when your business faces an unexpected auto accident, product recall, or government regulation change. In either type of situation, when business owners know the law, they can better protect themselves and sometimes even avoid the problems completely. This chapter...
