( a ) A catalyst doesn't change distribution of kinetic energy of the molecules, it just shorten the energy barrier so that more number of molecules can easily overcome it.

( b ) On increasing temperature fraction of that molecules ( e- Ea/ RT )  increases that have kinetic energy greater than or equal to activation energy .
