A solenoid passes through the x-y plane. A charge of +9 Coulombs with a mass of 3 x 10-7 kg moving at 9 m/s (in the x-y plane) is placed in the solenoid. Due to the magnetic field produced by the solenoid, the charge moves counter-clockwise in a circle at a frequency of 28 Hz. The charge is removed and a circular wire wound 2 times with a radius of 0.6 meters is placed in the solenoid. If the total magnetic field at the center of the circular is zero, what is the amount and direction of the current in the circular wire in amps? Indicate clockwise by a negative sign (negative answer) and don't enter a sign for counter-clockwise.

    5) A solenoid with 2 x 106 turns per meter runs through the x-y plane. It initially has a current of 7 amps running clockwise. A wire shaped like a equilateral triangle would 10 times with sides of length 2 meters is placed in the x-y plane in the solenoid. Over a a time of 0.7 seconds, the solenoid changes its current somehow which induces a (average) current in the triangle of 16 amps running counter-clockwise. If the resistance of...

    3) A square wire with current in it, wrapped once, is placed in the x-y plane. It's sides have a length of 1.8 m and the magnetic moment produced by it is 6 A m2 in the +z direction. The square wire is then reshaped, using all the wire from the square, into a circle with the same current as the square. The circle is then placed into the x-y plane (first quadrant) such that it's magnetic moment is also...

Two long (infinite) wires are placed in the x-y plane parallel to one another. One is placed on the x axis and the current in that wire is 43 amps running in the +x direction. The other wire is placed at y = +3.1 meters (3.1 meters "above" the first wire, in the x-y plane). The second wire has a force per unit length of 27 x 10-7 N/m in the +y direction. At the point x = 0, y...
