Answer #1

Women face more biological changes throughout their life time than men such as puberty, menstrual cycles, pregnancy, post pregnancy issues, menopause etc. All these would have their own implication on a daily, monthly and chronic levels. Besides the physical conditions, socio-cultural impacts would influence women at home, in society and at workplace. The continuous working at home and work would make them tired, irritated and depressed. Women, unlike men would have few avenues to let their emotions lose and they would be limited to have more interaction in the society as men do. I believe in Structural Functionalism theory which suggests that society is a complex system whose parts work together to promote solidarity and stability. This would mean women are kept under men and they are expected to function as subordinates and accompaniments to men in order to uphold the social and religious systems.
