yes triatomic molecule can be a linear example- carbon dioxide, CO2

In CO2 Structure containing two oxygen double bonded to the carbon atom. The central atom in carbon dioxide is carbon.

the carbon atom has two double bonds bonded each with the oxygen atom, hence it is having sp hybridization around the carbon atom.

structure O=C=O is linear with sp hybridization with respect to carbon as the central atom.
