Answer 1: The Great Awakening and The Enlightenment had huge influence on the American Revolution and the declaration of independence. Both these movements made colonists to change their views regarding government, about the society which inspired them to revolt against England. The Enlightenment and its philosophers were the reason for many ideas of the American revolution, this movement was focused on freedom of equality, press, speech, religious tolerance. Impact of great Awakening was that it reawakened the religious consciousness among people of America that had led to the founding spirit of the colonies, religious faith that had led to the successful colonies and to inspire them to fight for their motherland even at the cost of sacrifices. Many ideas from enlightenment and great awakening not only had an influence on American revolution but also had a huge impact on their constitution-making.
