Should you be allowed to surf the web at work?
Are telephones monitored where you work? How does it make you feel? If they are not already monitored, how would you feel if that policy was introduced?
What would you do if someone at work sent you an email that you found offensive? would you just delete the email or would you say something to that person?
If you had the chance to work from home and telecommute would you take it if every key stroke and phone call you were to make would be monitored? would you feel obligated to answer calls and emails any time of the day?
Would you ever use your work phone for personal calls? Why or why not?
Should you be allowed to surf the net or web at work?
Yes,I think depending upon the nature of work that you are doing. If you are doing the kind of work which demands new information about subjects, about people or about topics and you need it fast then you need to be allowed to use the web at work. Letting employees use the web sometimes, can and for many reasons, can increase productivity.
Are phones monitored where you work?
The company for which I am working my phone is not monitored in any way. I am only required to do my job and stick to my deadlines.
Actually because I am not being monitored, that I am free to use it the way I want, I feel obligated to do my best for my company. My company does not make me feel like a restricted employee.
And if ever the company introduces a policy where they are monitoring my calls I will feel okay about it. Because I know that my work is just strictly professional,so whatever I do, whatever I speak should reflect good on my company. This also means that it I might feel challenged hence it will make me motivated to perform even better. I like challenges,so if they are monitoring me I want them to know that i am the best and I will take it as an opportunity to express my credentials. I will welcome the policy if it is introduced newly.
What would you do if someone at work sent you an email that you found offensive?
If someone at work sends me an email which I find offensive I will not ignore it. I will confront him or her directly and I will tell them that they need to stop doing that because I don't like it and that it is not good for the profession or for the company. I will let them know, very politely ,that my values are against what they are doing.Hence ask them to stop doing that.
If you had a chance to work from home and telecommute would you take it if every key stroke and phone calls you were to make would be monitored?
If I am given that opportunity to work from home and I am using a professional set of equipment, like laptop and smartphone just for professional work I don't mind being monitored or my keystrokes and phone calls are recorded.I think they are in a position and they have the rights to do that because you are at work, even if you are at home. They have authority over you even when you are at home working on 'their' equipment or the equipment you have chosen for work.
Personally I will feel obligated to answer calls and emails for the same reason that my keystrokes and phone calls are being monitored. This will be kind of motivation and force behind me to ,actually, work rather than getting distracted around home,as you know home is very much of a distraction for most people.
Would you ever use your work phone for personal calls why and why not?
Personally this goes against my values. I separate my work from my personal life. I never mix up personal life with my work. And,this is not a great idea to use work phone for personal calls or personal phone for professional calls.
When you can use your work phone for personal calls? In case of emergency definitely you have to use it. Otherwise you should never do that. Because there is a distinct line between professionalism and being amateur. As a professional you have to have that distinction in everything you too. This applies to your phone calls too.Just like you wear your work uniform to your office and not to a party you have to use your work phone only for your professional calls and not for your private calls.

Should you have the right to electronically disconnect from your job? With today's ever increasing digital world- employees are working more during their "off" times, outside of regular business hours. Whether it is answering emails, responding to texts or phone calls, etc. work can seem to go on 24/7. In Germany, the companies Volkswagen and BMW no longer forward email to staff from the company's servers after the end of the work day. Some firms specifically tell employees not to...

Instructions: Below are both crater images (some of the work is already done for you on the Southern image). At the bottom left you will see scale bars and a set of circles to help you do the actual counting. Do not recount those craters that have already been marked with red dots. To...
