Answer #1

Answer:

The human cell consists of 46 chromosomes after the end of S phase.

During S phase, DNA replication takes place but there is not change in chromosome number. Hence, the same chromosome number (46) is found event after the S phase.

The cell after the S phase is diploid as it contains 46 (23 pairs) chromosomes.
