I have seen a conflict over a seat which led to loss of job. Two employees were fighting over a seat and the situation turned so violent that they got into a htuand to hand fight, resulting into termination of employment. The bad thing is that it was such a petty issue to fight for. What started as a generic comment by one turned into a heated exchange from one another and escalated to a physical violence. The cause of the conflict was personal ego and long supressed work related conflict which was not resolved, rather avoided. To mitigate such situation, it is best that when one major conflict is being deliberately avoided, other petty issues should be consciously accomodated. This helps in keeping personal ego at bay and prevents escalation of petty issues
