Yes the population will tend to increase as from the data provided 40% of the females survive and each one leaves on average 10 descendants. Which is quite significant to prove that there will be increase in the population.

Very simply, this rate can be understood as the number of births minus the number of deaths per generation time—in other words, the reproduction rate less the death rate.

Since 40% of the females survive and each one leaves on average 10 descendants. As we see reproduction rate is quite higher than the death rate . so it wil not have an impact on the intrinsic rate of growth.
