A) Explain the reason why an IntentFilter object has to be used when registering a BroadcastReceiver using registerReceiver(BroadcastReceiver receiver, IntentFilter filter)?


B) Consider the method within the class BroadcastReceiver: public void onReceive(Context context, Intent intent){} How would Android OS know which Intent to return for the second parameter intent?

C) What kind of data would the returned Intent contain?

a) The system can send many broadcast messages such as when the system boots or when the airplane mode is turned off or on, to various apps, but the intentfilter chooses which broadcast your apps must interact to. IntentFilters are generally used for matching intents and here for the broadcast messages.

b) It is the intent which the intentfilters is defined for in the registerReciever. Only those intents which are to be recieved according to the intentfilters will be return for the second parameter.

c)The intent contains information of the intent broadcast. It are the intent objects, that may contain information about some messages and system event occuring at the moment.
