Organizational Project Management (OPM) is a framework for
implementing projects, programs, and portfolios within an
organization. It provides the processes and methods for executing
projects within an organization that align with organizational
strategy and optimize resources within an organization. The
importance of organizational project management increases as
organizations increase the use of projects in implementing
organizational strategy.

One example of Organizational Project Management Maturity practices or activities that could be generalized to our organization through implementation of the process so called Quality Function Deployment or QFD, as organization will be performing the project and end product of that project should satisfy the needs and requirements of End users, further. It will satisfy the scalability, Flexibility, and practicality, as well as design requirements, KPIs, Specific Needed outcomes, there is another term like voice of customers, which can describe about stated and unstated needs of the customers, the voice of customers can be performed using various techniques like Observations, Interview Focus group techniques etc, further there would be house of quality to derive low level needs from high level needs, the process QFD can involve people from various departments like Product development, Design, Marketing, Planning, Manufacturing etc, these way the practice like implementing QFD within the organization can be successfully implemented and Organization should go through various phases for the QFD Approach, those are Product planning, Assembly or Part Deployment, Quality control and process planning, organization should be prepared with working on all such phases in the process for implementing OPM,
The another example of Organizational Project Management, here organization should be focusing on assessing themselves against the standard, they should understand the current state and collect as much as information to understand whether they should implement a plan for improvement or not, here, they will be working on various steps or process like Assessment process preparation, here they will be doing study and research on the standard, become more acquainted with OPM Framework, next step that they will perform assessment, here they will assess the degree of maturity for an organization, it will work on the comparing steps and organization can prepare various strength and weakness as applicable for them, organization can take role in Improvement planning process, repeat the process of assessment as needed, Exit the assessment process, with this process, OPM practices can be successfully generalized within the organization, whether organization is prepared for implementing such processes of OPM or not, that can be judged through comparing the existing current state and what is expected/ needed by the standard,
