The political uncertainty in Brazil stems from their history of dictatorship. For a large period of time Brazil has been ruled by dictators and only tasted democracy in the last 30-35 years. This makes them comparatively a new country in terms of democracy. Now, given that they have had systems in the country that are familiar with dictatorship many of their operations involved bribery, corruption and other activities considered illegal around the world. These practices have been incorporated in their working culture. The challenge they face is that democratic system often conflicts against such activities and thus there is always a power struggle between democratic ideas and their existing culture. This will likely continue for another generation or two. Hence political uncertainty may be there in Brazil till then. This is why I think there is still political uncertainty in Brazil.
