Answer - D (Phosphorylation)

Ubiquination(generally occur at lysine residue) signals degradation of protein. Hence, can not use to activate proteins. Glycosylation(at aspargine, serine and threonine residues) is the addition of carbohydrates to some membrane proteins that help in cell- cell recognition. Prenylation adds a farnesyl (C15) or geranylgeranyl (C20) group to specific cysteine residues.
