Describe the cyber security threats businesses, governments, and individuals face today.

Present 2–3 examples of such cyber security threats.

Cyber security threat is any possible attempt to gain access to the system with intent of damage. With almost every system hooked to internet more and more cybercrime is paving way to cyber security threats. Threats are increasing day-by-day every day as with evolving technology new ways of threats are also constantly evolving. One safety measure is not enough against these threats whether it is to business, government or an individual.

Let us discuss some of the cyber security threats:

Virus: Computer viruses are easily spread through web from emails, some free software, and unreliable websites. They are programs which are written with the intent of doing harm which gets executed and replicates itself.

Ransom ware: Ransom ware attacks are becoming common day by day. System is locked and data is encrypted by cybercriminal who demands some ransom in lieu of unlocking the system and data. Worst is that even after paying ransom system is not unlocked most of the time.

Internet of Things threat: More and more daily usage devices such as Air conditioner, house speakers, alarms clocks and various devices are getting connected to internet making Internet of Things. This interconnectivity is a risk which may lead to attack devices as an easy threat.

Network worms: They are self replicating files which may attack system making them slow, capture memory and extract information.

Phishing: Phishing is a cyber threat in which by disguising sensitive information such as bank details, usernames and passwords are attempted to be obtained.

Botnets : System gets attacked and can be controlled remotely as botnets or zombies.

Artificial Intelligence attack: Artificial is relatively a new way in which high level attacks are executed to attack organizations. They can make simple looking drones or artificial intelligence car to do something other than it is intended to do. Such as instead of delivering pizza move t enemy sky space may lead to unnecessary tension
