Minimum networking devices needed to secure your home network:

Firewall Devices/NAT Router:

A firewall protects devices in home network computers from attackers on the Internet.

It acts as a wall that blocking access to the home network from other devices on the Internet and simultaneously gives permission to devices on the home network to get connected to the Internet devices.

Bitdefender BOX, CUJO, and Anonabox Pro are some kinds of Wi-Fi security tools which can be used to secure IoT gadgets against threats and for preserving online privacy.

Netgear ProSAFE: It’s a kind of 8 port firewall that supports VPN and provides Stateful Packet Inspection, encryptions such as AES and 3DES and DoS safety and Network Address Translation.

Security Gateway Devices:

Security gateway such as Ubiquiti Unifi offers a better firewall that is able to safeguard the home network and data from attackers. Also provides a site-to-site VPN to protect privacy.
