Treatment of the lysozyme solutions with sds causes the solution to clarify and become viscous.Sds disrupts the cell membrane and denatures protein.In addition to lysing the cells, alkaline sds denatures the cellular constituents and it's elevated pH begins to degrade the cellular RNA.

On adding K-acetate to reanneal plasmid and DNA, plasmid is small so it can be reanneal faster, but DNA is too long to reanneal so it's gets targeted, DNA gets made into pellet, plasmid loats in supernatant, so a white pellicle or precipate appears when the lysozyme /sds solution is treated with sodium acetate.
