Hormones associated with males are-

1-FSH (Follicle stimulating hormones)- It is of glycoprotein in nature. it acts on sertoli cells causing release of inhibin and ABP. It promotes spermatogenesis.

2- LH ( Luteinizing hormones)- It is glycoprotein in nature. It acts on leydig cells to release testosterone and thus promotes spermatogenesis.

3- Testosterone- It is steriod in nature. It is responsible for development of secondart sexual characteristic in male like enlargement of larynx causing low pitch voice of male. It is an anabolic hormones beacuse it cause protein synthesis. it also cause postive nitrogen balance in the body.

4-ABP ( Androgen binding protein)- It binds with testosterone and thus increase the concentration of testosterone inti seminiferous tubules.

5- Inhibin- It inhibit the release of FSH and LH. it also regulates the concentration of testosterone in the body of human being.

Hormones associated with females-

1- FSH- it is responsible for growth of ovarian follicles.

2- LH- it triggers ovulations and responsible forthe formation of corpus luteum.

3- Estrogen- it is steriod in nature. it is responsible for development of secondary sexual characteristic of a female. it is also a anabolic hormones cause protein synthesis.it also regulates postive nitrogen balance in the body and responsile for calcium depostion in the bonea.

4- Progestrone- it is also steriod in nature. it prepare a female for possible.pregnancy. it causes thickening of endomatrium.
