The FAD (flavin adenine dinucleotide) is a better electron acceptor than NAD (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide) because NAD accepts one pair of electrons and only one hydrogen atom but FAD accepts one pair of electrons with a complete hydrogen molecule (H2).
