of Neural tube defects in newborns and screening helped to reduce
heritable disorders.
5. prevention of cardiovascular disease, heart diseases
and stroke that were the leading cause of deaths.
6. occupational safety: helped in improving working
conditions for the worker and other workplace-related
injuries.
7. cancer prevention: this helped in reducing death
rates particularly due to colorectal cancer, breast and cervical
