4. How would you prepare 1.5 ml of a 1:1000 dilution of the CB2 primary antibody (1° Ab CB2) in 1% milk solution if 1.5 μl is provided in a tube. Specifically, how much 1% Milk in DPBS will you add to the tube?
Please help ... very confused
Dilution factor = (Aliquot volume+ diluent volume)/ Aliquot volume. (Note that milk is diluent)
=> 1000 = (1.5 + diluent volume)/1.5 (Note that it is 1.5 uL)
=> ( 1000 * 1.5) - 1.5 = diluent volume
=> Diluent volume = 1498.5 uL
Now just have to add 1498.5 uL of the 1% milk to 1.5 uL of antibody provided in the tube.
hope the answer helps.
