Yes, Manitoba should implement the legislation for ergonomic analysis and design work processes because of the following reasons:

• Lack of following ergonomics principles can lead to higher physical and physiological pressure on the workers. It can lead to reduced safety, productivity and quality of work.
• Poor ergonomics can result in discomfort, pain and injury due to work conditions.
• It can also lead to musculoskeletal injury, which might be irreversible.

The ergonomics consider the following which work together to create a safer and more comfortable work experience.

1. The worker: His human characteristics and capabilities
2. The environment which includes the temperature, lighting, physical layout and surroundings
3. The job or the task which includes pace of work, how it is set and organized, use of the equipment machinery and tools.

Implementing the legislation will improve the quality of work life for the works. It will eliminate reasons of a pain and injury. It will improve overall productivity, safety and quality of work. Ergonomics will take into consideration the entire work environment and improve the overall health of all workers and employees.
