Explanation: The alleles responsible for the human blood types are IA, IB, i.

IA, IB alleles are the dominant and i allele is recessive. Since human blood forming alleles are codominant. The dominant will be expressed. It is the case for both the parents.

Parent with blood type A have IA and i alleles. IAis dominant over i and it forms the A blood group.

Parent with blood group B have IB and i alleles. IBis dominant over i and it forms the B blood group.

The child with O blood group will have the genotype of ii, which came from each of the parents. Both the alleles are recessive and it formed O group.
