Have you any personal experience on the failure of being a leader at any situation? What could be the reason that cause such unsuccessful consequences according to your analysis?

As it is said failure teaches us the important lessons of life, I have experienced it while working as an Project Manager with one of the reputed organization. We came up with new product idea, where my team started working on it immediately right from putting the idea in implementation, preparing project plan, setting up meetings with the upper management members for approval etc. Even though everything looked fine on paper, when the actual implementation phase began things started falling apart as team members were not able to meet the timeline, quality of work started declining. Which made me experience failure during this project.

I believe, such unsuccessful consequences were caused as I did not Plan the project properly knowing its pitfalls, providing deadlines for each team member would have helped to monitor the success of the project. As it was my first job as an leader, it taught be importance of planning and not to overlook quality of work and setting realistic expectations for the team members is necessary.
