People having Heterozygous HbS allele are carrier for sickle cell anaemia and are less asymptomatic.
While people homozygous for HbS allele show the symptoms like-
-breath shortness( due to lack of oxygen carrying capacity of hemoglobin)
- inflamed fingures and toes( hemoglobin inability to reach at the tip)
- pain in chest & joints.
- dizziness, fatigue and pale skin.etc.
This mutation in HbS gene is inherited via-Autosomal recessive trait.
