Answer #1

"The Lamb" and "The Tyger" both initially showed up in Willam Blakes' gathering of verse entitled Songs of Innocence and Experience. William Blake addresses the animals' birthplaces in both "The Lamb" and "The Tyger." In "The Lamb," the speaker questions "Little Lamb, who made thee," and in "The Tyger" the speaker ponders "What unfading hand or eye could outline thy frightful symmetry?" Both of the lyrics then associate the creatures' sources to address a more prominent theological inquiry concerning the Creator's job in nature. Through tending to every creature's qualities and offering further conversation starters, the speaker of "The Tyger" Blake stands amazed at the dreadful development of "The Tyger" and even references "The Lamb" sonnet inquiring:

"Did he who made the Lamb make thee?" (20)

"The Tyger" and "The Lamb" include creatures that are basically contrary energies; one is a fearsome predator and the other, a delicate, guiltless creature. The tones of "The Lamb" and "The Tyger" are strikingly extraordinary; Blake utilizes dim, amazing symbolism to make an awed tone in "The Tyger" though the tone of "The Lamb" is delicate and warbling.

The association of "The Tyger" and "The Lamb" is distinctive also. For "The Tyger" Blake utilizes quatrains and rhymed couplets which splendidly propose the musical pounding of the smithy, loaning the ballad a feeling of earnestness and power. "The Lamb" utilizes rhymed couplets also, however as opposed to partitioning the lines into quatrains, Blake bunches them into two expansive stanzas of five couplets every; this structure supplements the message and stream of the lyric, giving it a streaming, melodious quality.

"The Tyger" and "The Lamb" both have numerous similitudes and contrasts as far as themes, messages, tone, and association.
