you will create a two-minute video and written proposal about the impact of a particular technology on an industry or field. The purpose of this question is for you to develop your big-picture thinking, and to explore various impacts of the ever-changing IT industry.

The Digital Revolution is not limited to the past – we should expect changes to continue for the foreseeable future. The aim of this assessment is for you to explore how IT might change a particular industry in the future, based on current trends and upcoming technologies.

Topics are of the form:

1.The potential impact of Computer Games on the Meat Industry

2.The potential impact of Internet Of Things on the Medical Tourism Industry

The first step to creating your video and report is to explore both the technology and the industry, to understand the potential impacts.

Write a short description of the technology and the industry (200-300 words each)

Choose one technology impact from the previous exercise, and identify at least five factors or constraints that make this impact possible, or which might prevent it occurring.Frame these within Lawrence Lessig’s regulations – Market, Law, Architecture (Physical/Natural) and Norm(Social/Ethical).

the factors or constraints should be ethical in nature.

Identify process within your industry or field that would change as a result of your chosen impact.

For this process, determine: • Events; • Activities or Tasks; • Decision points; • Actors (people and/or objects); • Outcomes

Write a description of this process (about 300 words), referring to the above events, tasks, decisions, actors and outcomes.

Identify specific components of this process that would change due to your technological idea. Describe how these components would be affected by the change (200-300 words). It should be clear which events, tasks, decision points, actors, and outcomes are affected, and in which ways. This may include components being removed, replaced, augmented or added. Include justification for why these components are affected by your specific technology.

Use process model diagrams to support your description – two before and two after the change.

Using any software or other tools you like, create your video!

You must create the graphic yourself. Regardless of how you choose to make sure your video, ensure: • Sound and narration is clearly audible; • enough context is included to demonstrate understanding of the industry and the technology, and the significance of the impact; • the length is between 1:45 and 2:15;

Upload your video to one of the following services: • YouTube – youtube.com • Vimeo – vimeo.com

from the bottom points are included in your given answer :

Written content

• Accurate and succinct description of technology and industry

• ideas for at least four ways in which the tech may impact or has impacted the industry. Ideas demonstrate at least superficial understanding of the technology and industry

• Regulations – at least five factors/constraints that may affect the adoption or impact of the technology. One must be an ethical constraint • Identification of process components

• Description of changes, including diagrams

Video

• Video is easily understood without reference to written materials; structure is clear and appropriate

• Ideas are clearly expressed and suitable for the audience.

• Includes appropriate graphical element(s)

• Video is engaging and well presented

Answer #1

Answer:

The potential impact of internet:

Communications between the devices are meaningful to common users in a sense that it helps them simplify various day-to-day tasks. Some of the common example could be fire alarms, door locking system, automatic switching of lights etc.

These examples come under simple IoT based application. There are major impacts that could be done by IoT when dealing with the higher end technologies. IoT involves in sensing, actuating, collecting, processing and storing of data. Thus, IoT in medical tourism industry in a smart city will have these impacts that could be handled for several applications such as citizen observatory, tourism management, medicine management.

The term Medical Tourism originated because of the faster development of medical industry by allowing patients to travel anywhere globally for medical purpose. The patients or tourists under health tourism is considered as a sub-group. Medical services integrated with medical tourism provides medical services for patients and tourism services simultaneously. This technology paved way for companies to expand their applications and projects in the 21st century.

There is a huge impact in patient satisfaction with the generation and the management of medical tourism. Based in the time and situation, the patient satisfaction has several dimensions. Due to the improper implementations of rules and regulations, there is a chance of disapproval among companies to fully implement medical tourism globally since every country has its own rules and regulations for deploying medical tourism services. With time the IoT will become a building block of every medical tourism industry, which will cause a shift to a pull-based economy, where the medical services will be driven by a real-time demand and tourism products that are tailor-made according to the individual patients. This flexibility in medical tourism is currently unimaginable, but the IoT based medical tourism will allow for much higher level of agility and adjust ability that will ultimately shift the medical tourism industry from product-oriented to customer-oriented. .

All these improvements that medical tourism Industry and IoT will bring are still, in most cases, a prediction. It is still early to be able to statistically test the productivity and efficiency improvements as the digital transformation is yet to fully unroll. However, there are predictions and estimations which argue that the IoT is a profitable investment as the benefits it brings will lead to a better resource efficiency, shorter time to market, close to zero waste, shorter production times and a higher medical productivity. The major factors of influencing the medical tourism as follows:

Figure 1 : Medical tourists' satisfaction

  • Service Customer Satisfaction
  • Patients’ Satisfaction:

Method of Care: includes various attributes such as technique, convenience and accessibility and quality as well experience of the doctors such as professional background and type of patients such as level of sickness, etc.

Form of Care: includes attributes such as consistency as well as stability of care such as specialist referral, double consultation. Another important parameter is communication between medical professionals and patients.

The best methodology to enhance medical tourism services by integrating data to increase decorous value propositions in acquiring medical tourism services such as biometrics for fitness and diagnoses monitor post-treatment diagnoses and GPS beacon integration into wearable devices for monitoring and combine with alert systems for patients.
