Phosphorus is a abundant element found in surface of the earth and it is used as a fertilizer in soil for plant growths.It is also prepared in chemical factories by heating calcium phosphate. These days Phosphorous is found in four types of color red, black, white and violet. Phosphorus is also found in little amount in our human body.

According to NSQD (National Storm water Quality Database)The median of total phosphorus concentration for residential land use is 0.30mg/L. The median total phosphorus concentration for other lands like commercial land (0.20mg/L), industrial land (0.21mg/L), open space land (0.13mg/L) will be different.
