What is the protein target in malignant glioma cell lines
A malignant Glioma is a a rapidly progressive brain tumor where the glucose-regulated protein of 78 kDa (GRP78) is upregulated. GRP78 is predominantly located in the endoplasmic reticulum lumen where is involved in the assembling of proteins. But, in malignant glioma this protein is overexpressed in the cell membrane which makes it a target for diagnostic and treatment.
