Humans, dogs, horses all are dioecious animals because they has distant male and female individual organisms.

The male will have the male reproductive organs where as female will have only the female reproductive organs.

Monoecious animals ( hermaphrodite)

The organism which have both the male and female reproductive organs in the same individual.

There are very few animals who are hermaphrodite. Example is earthworm ( annelida) which consist of both the sexes in one organism.

Dioecious animals

organisms which produce either the male reproductive organs or the female reproductive organs and gametes but do not contain both at the same time.

Humans, dogs and horses are vertebrates and fall under the class of mammals. All mammals are dioecious, having distinct sexual organs and features.
