Habitat loss or habitat reduction is the process by which a natural habitat becomes incapable of supporting its native species.

For example, when a section of forest is cut down and replaced with farmland or urban spaces, the living places of hundreds of species may be eliminated.

Habitat is like natural home of specie's When an species loses the natural home or habitat that it needs to survive, its numbers decline rapidly, and it moves toward extinction.

1. The spread of human activity threatens ¼ of the world's mammals with extinction.

2. Scientists estimate that 150-200 species of plant, insect, bird and mammal become extinct every 24 hours.the main cause of this extinction was the habitat loss of these species.

3. This is a fact that that we are now losing species at 1,000 to 10,000 times the normal rate, with multiple extinctions daily. Multiple species will disappear before we learn about them or the benefits they bring to our planet.
