Would the Gram stain from the pickle liquid look any different from that of the fresh vegetables? What do you think we would see if we Gram stain the liquid in 3 weeks? Explain your answers.

If we swab fresh cucumbers and gram stain it we will be able to see microorganisms such as Salmonella typhimurium, Staphylococcus aureus, etc. which are primarily present in cucumbers. If we stain pickle liquid, the lactic acid bacteria, which is a prime constituent of pickles, will be visualized under the microscope.

Yes, the stain of the cucumber will be different from that of the stain of pickle liquid because the microorganism constituents are different and thus will be the stain.

If the liquid of the pickle is gram stained after 3 weeks if might show some changes in terms of stain, when added, but not a major difference would be visualized.
