Predict the variation in bile & pancreatic enzyme release into the intestines with a meal high or low in fat, and between meals (fasting state).
The pancreas and bile secretions are necessary for the digestion of the fatty food. The pancreatic lipase converts fat to fatty acids, monoglyceroles etc. The bile salts are secreted to emulsify fat globules. The pancreatic secretions increases as per the food that we eat. If we eat a lot of fatty food the pancreatic secretions increases according to that but the bile salts secreted is in the constant rate. The amount of fatty food cannot alter the amount of bile salt secreted. The pancreatic secretions are secreted in a small proportion even at the time of fasting and it is called interdigestive secretions. But the bile salts won't be produced. Unless no food reaches the stomach the bile salt doesn't gets activated.
