answer-

Every coworker under NLRB act has the right to encourage, provide union literature and persuade other workers to join the union. In this situation, if a co-workers comes to me and ask me to sign an authorization card then i would try to ask questions which would help me to know why he is doing this and how it would help him, me and other workers.

for example- i would ask him the question why you want to join union and get my sign on authorization card?

I would ask what is the benefit in this for me, for you and other workers who may want or not want to join the Union?

I would ask what would happen if sign this card or not sign this Card?

these questions would help me to know that Union joining helps workers to protect their employee rights, prevent them from unfair practice of employer, get fair wages and good working conditions. Section 7(a) of the act protected collective bargaining rights for unions . (Morris, Charles J. ,2005) Joining union would help strengthen the collective bargaining strength of workers over employers so that employers can not do unfair labor practices with workers of a company.while not joining the Union may limit my rights under employment.

at this point on, i would sign the authorization card them chances of forming a union will increase. at least 30% of workers sign cards or a petition saying they want a union, the NLRB will conduct an election. (NLRB site). after all this i would sign the card and all the cards will be stored with other signed cards to form the union.
