Cellular polarity means various differences in shape, structure and function in a cell.This is greatly helpful in special functions of a cell.Example of cellular polarity includes neurons where signal is transferred unidirectional from dendrites to axons .The cellular polarisation in embryonic development occurs by various ways....1) Asymmetric cell division where the resulting daughter cells receive unequal amount of cellular contents .2) Asymmetric localisation of proteins in a cell .3) Concentration gradient of the proteins secreted ..example BMPs ( Bone morphogenic proteins ).4)Differential expression of membrane receptors.

Germ cells are unipotent cells that are responsible for formation of either oocytes or spematocytes.while stem cells are multipotent cells , they can give rise to any type of cells.
