Which, if any, of the political principles of Locke and/or our Founding Fathers do you believe should continue to be implemented in the USA today? Please do include in your introduction what these key political principles are. Which do you believe, again if any, we should discard?

• The political principles that should continue to be implemented in the USA today are legitimate government, which means that rulers derive their authority from the people who vote them. Thus it becomes the obligation of these rulers to protect the natural rights of the people.
• These rights include LIFE, LIBERTY, and PROPERTY. However, if the rulers fail to guarantee these rights, they have the right to overthrow these rulers.
• It is because of the above the unalienable rights were bestowed upon the citizens of America among these are Life (a dignified life), Liberty (social, political, and economic freedoms) and the pursuit of Happiness (freedom of following joy and living life according to ways which make one happy as long as the choice made does not hurt others).
• We should also continue to harbor secularism which means this country is not founded on the Christian religion or state has no religion in any sense. Other principles we should continue are as:
• All Men Are Created Equal: everyone has same rights including to get elected.
• Limited government: National government can exercise only those powers conferred by the constitution only.
• Federalism: powers are delegated among the state governments and the national government.
