Introduction:

The Hollow Water First Nation Community Holistic Circle Healing Program (CHCH) is the most developed healing process in the Canada. The program began in 1980s and fully established in the later 1980s. It includes justice cases of youth and adult.

Program Participants:

The Community Holistic Circle Healing Program follows process centered approach. Mostly actions are taken by staff i.e. staff activities are contributed larger to the entire healing process and in the mainstream systems the process involves victims,victimizers (cheater) and their respective families.

Seating Goals/objectives:

To strengthen the families and encourage healthy communities it is based upon the idea of reunion between offenders and victims of violence and abuse.

Preparations needed to conduct the circle:

Firstly the Participatory framework was build on two basic principles:

1. Collaboration: With staff meetings and community consultations details regarding the method of data collection and research were developed by sharing ideas and knowledge.

2. Action: In this framework when researchers start the researching process then they take commitment to work towards the benefits of all the stakeholders.

How the process basically works:

1. Firstly, the team of CHCH conducts an initial investigation to find out what really happened and the victim's story is recorded .

2. Once it has been decided that abuse has taken place then, the abuser faced huge difficulty and set a charge against him/her.

3. When the abuser himself / herself opt healing process then the CHCH team ask the court that they must check the genuineness of the commitment. The abuser mainly agrees to take the healing option, because of out of fear of going to jail.

Conclusion: This is all about CHCH process and it is very beneficial for the victim families and they feel satisfied and protect themselves against a violence and abuse. Overall the main contribution of staff and the community that meets time to time and decide method of data collection by sharing their knowledge and ideas.
