20.0ml of 0.100M HC2H3O2 solution in a small beaker is titrated with 0.10M NaOH solution from a buret. All experiments are carried out at 25°C 3. a) Write the acid-base reaction that occurs during the titration. b) Calculate the value of the equilibrium constant for the titration reaction written in 3a. Is it reasonable to assume that this titration reaction goes essentially to completion? Explain. c) Predict the pH (acidic, basic, or neutral) after 20.0mL are added during the titration....
(a) A 25.0mL of a unknwon concentration of HBr solution is titrated with 0.100M NaOH solution. The equivalence point is reached upon the addition of 18.58mL of the base. What is the concentration of HBr solution? (b) A sample of 10.0mL of 0.200M hydrocyanic acid (HCN) is titrated with 0.299M NaOH. The pKa for hydrocynanic acid is 9.31. what volume of NaOH solution is required to reach the equivalence point of titration? (c ) Still consider the solution in (b),...
3. If 15.0 mL of 0.125 M phosphoric acid is titrated with 0.100 M NaOH, what volume of the titrant (in mL) must be added to completely neutralize the acid? Show all of your work (including the chemical equation). (1 point) Post-lab Questions: Experiment #9: Acid-Base Titrations Student Learning Objectives : Students will gain practice with the accurate preparation of solutions. Students will perform acid-base titrations and prepare titration curves. Students will identify strong and weak acids by the shapes...
I don't understand what calculations I would have made to create
the buffer solution from Part D of the lab. I understood the
procedures I took to create the solution but when the report asks
to show the calculations used to prepare the buffer solution I am
not sure other than mixing the volumes indicated in the procedures
section.
Thank you

can someone please help me out with questions 1-5, please
To add more information this was given to me for a lab that used
a weak acid and we added a strong base through titration. We just
observed how the ph changes. Later we then used a buffer with a
weak acid to see how buffers affect ph change. These questions are
basically surrounded around those topics to help us prepare.
However, I'm kinda confused about answering them because weak...
Suppose 1.00 g of NaOH is used to prepare 250 mL of an NaOH solution. Compare the expected molarity of this solution to the actual average molarity you measured in the standardization. What do you notice? Do you think the results would have been more accurate if a different type of acid or base were used in the standardization? Why, or why not? There are many different primary standards that could be used in a standardization titration. What are the...
For the preparation and standardization of NaOH with KHP im supposed to boil water for 1hr and 30 min to remove CO2....the problem is that if I don't boil it for that long and (30 min) b/c of not enough time but I put the water I boiled for 1/2 hr aproximately into a NaOH bottle with a CO2 absorber and stored it there for a few days. I would assume that I would have to boil the water again...but...
It's a weak acid strong base titration
Experiment 4: Identification of an unknown acid by titration Page 2 of 15 Background In this experiment, you will use both qualitative and quantitative properties to determine an unknown acid's identity and concentration. To do this analysis, you will perform a titration of your unknown acid sample-specifically a potentiometric titration where you use a pH meter and record pH values during the titration, combined with a visual titration using a color indi- cator...
