I'm working on a project which requires a t-test. Im testing whether global warming is having an effect in arrival and departure for Purple Finch in the cities of Edmenton and Quebec. The data is below for Edmenton arrival:

I ran a correlation test and got a p-value of 0.772. I concluded that global warming is not having an effect in addrival of Purple Finch in edmenton. Please run a t-test and explain what results mean (re-run the test). Does it agree with my p-value?

Now using values from above screenshot into Test statistics of hypothesis testing below:

From above T-test we have Calculated value as 11.21 and Table value as 2.18

Since 2.18 < 11.21 i.e. Table value less than Calculated value

Hence we conclude that we reject Null Hypothesis Ho and may accept H1.

Hence we can say that there is effect of global warming on arrival and departure for Purple Finch in the cities of Edmenton and Quebec.
