The diet is influenced by the religion and culture in many ways. People of different culture and religion like to eat different kinds of foods as well as they eliminate some of the foods. These foods may content high amount of nutrient.

People such as those who do not eat non vegetarian foods such as meat, fish, chicken, mostly lack the protein content. Fish is one of the greatest source of protein as well as omega 3 fatty acids. This is enough to keep heart healthy. But those people who don't consume fish or they don't have accessibility for the protein rich food are highly prone to deficiency of protein.

Some of the religion or the people believe not to have salt in their food. This causes many iodine diseases such as goiter etc. So, Essential nutrients are required for people to stay healthy. A well balanced diet increases the healthy living life span.
